Divisions & Standards

Be ready to compete with the best in this division, and be ready for some surprises to separate the talent!

Male and Female athletes may participate in the ELITE Division in one of two ways:

1. Special invitation of a select few by event organizers.
2. Earn one of the remaining positions with a placement in top 1.5% in the most recent CrossFit Open in North America East or North America West. See registration page for details of where the 1.5% breakpoint falls.

Male and Female athletes participating in the RX should be capable of performing the specified movements in a variety of WOD combinations...and maybe be ready for a couple of surprises.

Male and Female athletes participating in this division should be capable of performing the specified movements in a variety of WOD combinations. They may not be able to do everything as prescribed, but this is definitely not a beginners division.

Male and Female athletes may participate in the Scaled Division by registering early enough to capture one of the positions in each male/female category. All you need to bring to compete here is a desire to have fun and give it your all! Expect easier weights and movements in a variety of WOD combinations.

Again, if you are new to this type of competition and aren't 100% confident with a broad depth and breadth of abilities (if you are, you should probably be in a different division), don't be afraid to sign up, and show up, to have fun changing you weaknesses into strengths! You can do this...we promise!

We know the abilities of modern "Masters" athletes in their 40s, and we plan to challenge you. The athletes between the ages of 40-49 will compete in very similar movements that are more challenging than the Scaled Division, but a little lighter and easier on the the joints than the Elite and RX divisions. If you are thinking about participating in this still challenging division, you should be capable of performing all of the Masters movements in a variety of WOD combinations.

Just because you are 50 or over, don't expect us to give you quarter at WODGODZ. Though ranked separately, the athletes age 50 and up will face the same WODs as the first Masters division, and the same high expectations. Though some of you may be grandfathers and grandmothers, this is not your "grandpa's" division.

If you are thinking about participating in this division, you should be capable of performing the Masters movements in a variety of WOD combinations.

This division will be a blast for you and your partner, and we promise to make it challenging. Check out the RX division movement expectations to get an idea of what to expect. In the spirit of cooperation displayed by a good Team, not all members must be able to perform all movements proficiently; however, we do plan on making individual weaknesses a little hard to hide.

This division will be a little lighter on the weight and skill requirements, but we promise to make it challenging, while keeping the expectations more manageable. Nicely positioned between Scaled and RX in difficulty.

This division is for the beginner team athletes, with no advanced skill requirements, however, just like the other divisions, we promise to make it challenging for those with little to no experience competing.
